DIY Electric Solar Panels

Solar panels have come a long way in recent times they are more efficient and the costs have come down but they are still expensive and it does cost a lot of money to have your house fully kitted to a self-sufficient standard. Once fitted however you can expect to recieve about 1kWh per day per meter correctly  installed on a good site.

If you are finding the cost of solar panels prohibitive you can of course always build your own panels before you do this however some homework needs to be done. You must work out how much electricity you need to run the household, is it just solar panels you will be using or is there other methods you are using such as wind.

Before doing the simple Maths necessary to gauge the amount of panels you need you must always check out how many sunlight hours you get, you should also take into consideration times of year. All of this information is available on the internet.

You do not need to be an engineer or even a gifted DIY enthusiast to build a solar panel and all of the parts you need are readily available in hardware stores or of course online.

There is a certain satisfaction in building your own stuff and especially when it is what most people consider high tech there is a little more wow factor when showing your guests.

The biggest wow factor however is not your home made solar panels; it is the comparative size of your energy bills compared to theirs. Better still show them a receipt from an energy company for the money they have just sent you for the electricity you sold them.

If you really want to go mad you can build the whole lot solar panels and wind turbines and although I have to say that it’s a bit of a project the satisfaction at the end for those of us who have the time is enormous.

The best guide I have ever seen for making not only your own Solar Panels but your own Wind Turbines as well I could not believe how easy they where to build although I am pretty nifty with the tools. The course also has a 60 day money back guarantee so it is worth a look. Click Here!
